Review of Girl Reaches Clouds on Barnesandnoble.com

'Even better than the first! The characters really grow up you and the heroine takes a journey of self discovery that is natural and feels like one that anyone would or could go through. it was also really funny, but also deep and sometimes serious. And by the time I was done, I really did fall in love with Raymond Fitzwilliam as well, who is a really cool modern take of Colonel Fitzwilliam. I hate to sound like a girl, but that's exactly what I felt by the time that I was done.'

Review of Girl Races Time on Barnesandnoble.com

This is the second book I've read by C. M. Mitchell. I confess that I never read nor remember reading Pride and Prejudice. Even so, I really enjoyed reading this book. It kept my interest throughout. The words seemed to jump off the page and I could actually see the scenes she was describing. The book is tastefully and skillfully written and I would not hesitate to recommend it.

Review of Girl Rocks Universe on Barnesandnoble.com

This book was surprisingly awesome!  I love Pride and Prejudice, but this was a fresh and new take on the tale that is right up there with Clueless as a new take on Emma. Issy Bennet and Melanie Jane were very good modernizations of Elizabeth and Jane Bennet, and though this was a novel aimed at  young adults, i was still able to enjoy it immensely (I'm 30).  Also what made it more wonderful was that I gave it to my niece to read, and she had never read or liked Jane austen before, but once she read this, she immediately fell in love with the story and wanted to read the original.  Also, by the time I finished reading the story, I saw all the points and morals the book was trying to convey, I fell in love with Darcy all over again, enjoyed his and Issy's growth as characters, and I also love how the writer used all these modern references to Harry Potter, C S Lewis books, Lord of the Rings and Star Wars to relate to a modern audience.  This book was a pleasant surprise, especially for girls like me who like our heroines spunky, witty and fun.   that, i guess, is the reason i liked the book so much, i really did have fun reading it, and it reminded me of the first time i fell in love i guess, and it reminded me of what it was like to be 17 again. But remembering my niece, i would say that any mother who has a daughter who is either into Harry potter, Chronicles of narnia or Twilight, then I think they might like this one, especially since the heroine is a great role model for young adults.  But that's just my opinion.  I was surprised by it.

This was one of the best novels that I have ever read in my life!  It was well written, romantic, empowered and the heroine was incredible.   All around one of the best novels ever!
